WHAT: Embassy Passport @Embassy of Argentina

WHEN: Saturday May 4, 2019 – 7:30pm-9:30pm

WHERE: Embassy of Argentina (1600 New Hampshire Ave NW)

Embassy Passport @Embassy of Argentina — During this day-long event at the Embassy of Argentina, CEDA will help to raise funds for vulnerable communities in Argentina. The Embassy will open its doors to DC visitors and residents as part of the 12th edition of Around the World Embassy Tour. Participants can travel to Argentina as they experience their food, art, dance, fashion, and music.

  • This event is organized in collaboration with Cultural Tourism DC (CTDC) and the Embassy of Argentina.

WHAT: ArgentinaConnect 50 Networking Reception

WHEN: Friday May 10, 2019 – 7:30pm-9:30pm

WHERE: Dupont Underground – 19 Dupont Circle (entrance at from of Starbucks on 19 St. NW)

ArgentinaConnect 50 Networking Reception — An opportunity for informal cross-sector peer-to-peer networking, bringing together Argentine professionals, diplomats, academia while helping raise funds to help hospitals and schools from Argentina.

  • Network with fellow Argentines, diplomats, professionals at Dupont Underground — an unique venue of a long-abandoned trolley tunnels underneath the bustling streets of Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C.
  • A jazz/tango band will offer a special treat during this exclusive reception.
  • Cash Bar with excellent wines, including Argentine Malbec from Bodega Zucchardi.
  • Dress Code: Business, Business Casual or Cocktail Attire
  • This event is organized in collaboration with Dupont Underground and the Embassy of Argentina

WHAT: Q&A with Oscar Winner Director Campanella

WHEN: Friday May 17, 2019 – 6:00pm-8:00pm

WHERE: Dupont Underground – 19 Dupont Circle (entrance at from of Starbucks on 19 St. NW)

Q&A with Oscar Winner Director Campanella — One of the most important and recognized Latin-American filmmakers, Argentine Juan Jose Campanella has written, directed and produced the Academy Award nominated film Son of the Bride, as well as the Academy Award winning film The Secret in Their Eyes. He has also directed many hours of television including TV series Law & Order SVUHouse MD and 30 Rock. 

  • Screening of trailers of Campanella films including soon to be released in theaters The Weasel, the first live-action film since foreign-language Oscar winner film The Secret in Their Eyes.

WHAT: Argentina National Day Party

WHEN: Saturday May 25, 2019 – 9:30pm-2:00am

WHERE: Dupont Underground – 19 Dupont Circle (entrance at from of Starbucks on 19 St. NW)

Argentina National Day Party  — A unique night celebrating May Revolution Day — DJs spinning fun music and party-goers dancing until dawn. Grab a gelato of dulce de leche from Dolcezza and cool off while dancing. Wine drinkers will appreciate the cash bar’s selection of Mendoza wines. You’re almost guaranteed a lively night plus the chance to meet an eclectic mix of people, wine and music lovers. A lot of fun!
